Entry Requirements

Entry requirements (Secondary)

We expect applicants to have at least a 2:2 degree in a subject related to the one they are to specialise in teaching.  All prospective teachers are required to have GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.  Suitable A level subjects at grade C or above, related to the subject to be taught would be expected in the majority of cases.  Please note, even if you are offered a training place with us, this will not be confirmed, and cannot start, until you have passed the Literacy and Numeracy tests. The School Direct course with Masters credits involves the researching and writing of assignments at Masters level and so an appropriate level of English language is necessary to be successful on this part of the course and will be assessed as part of the selection process.
